It's the only ID i have until i can get a Mass ID. I'll be 21 on Saturday. If anyone has any info, that would be great. Thanks!

Most bars everywhere will take a passport as I.D., but I've also seen them give some people a hard time. My friend only has a passport and sometimes they ask if she has anything else as back up. It will probably just vary from bar to bar, but overall I wouldn't expect too many problems.

As long as you can back your passport up with some other sort of id (state id, credit card in your name, student id) they should accept it . I worked in a restaurant on Newbury St though and there were times they would not serve people with only a passport. Generally places want to see a passport if you are not from MA and under 25 instead of another state ID.

Not all bars in Boston except a passport. You need a valid state ID with expiration date, or a liquor lisence. I just got my new State Id becase I will be 26 in May and I don't drive yet.

RedSox26 is wrong. A valid passport is on the small list of items the Mass Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission says are bona fide for acceptance of age (as long as the photo looks like the person).

A passport is a valid form of ID, can be used anywhere for ID, bars, hotels, immigration, airports, police, etc..

relies upon at the position easily with acceptance of any identity. My chum changed into 25, with a PASSPORT (which easily is way more desirable professional and foolproof than an identity card) and they would not settle for it at 2 liquor shops and a pub. It changed into really ridiculous. yet that is the way it is contained in the States. in the experience that they don't settle for it at one position try yet another .. because it is a valid identity and easily i do not imagine that it is actual they turn human beings away, yet they do often times. reliable luck! :)

Passport is the best/universal ID. They *should* accept it.
