I am trying to decide which would be better for a weekend with family. Looking for an upscale place to stay. Any suggestions would be great.

I prefer the Vineyard. Nantucket gets a little too busy. The Vineyard is more "quaint"...if you like quaint.

They're both neat places, but if you're headed to the Cape and Islands region, also check out the Chatham Bars Inn in Chatham, MA (on the elbow of Cape Cod).
