Money is very limited for my family this year. We live in Cape Cod but would rather go elsewhere. Our kids are 5, 7,10 & 12. Any ideas or suggestions for a memorable summer vacation? I've never been camping and we've considered going this year, I'm just not sure if the kids will enjoy it. Regardless, I'm willing to go within driving distance anywhere within New England. Where have you been with your family and did they enjoy it? We've been to Story Land, Santa's Village & the Polar Caves in NH. Anything you can recommend with lodging? thank you.

If you are going camping, Lake Pemaquid in Damariscotta, Maine is excellent. People travel from all over here and they have a ton to do for all age levels. They have several playgrounds strewn throughout the place. The largest playground has a rope swing on a rope line and a rope bridge leading to a playhouse and a slide. There are hayrides once of twice a week, there is a skate park and tennis courts. There is a little train thing that goes in circles when it is running. There is a pool that goes to six feet with 4 hot tubs. At night there are dances, karaoke night and some weeks they get child singer Rick Charette to come and sing. There is a laundromat and sauna, large lake and sites for cabins, campers and tents. The only thing is that they do not have the activities like arts and crafts or stuff like that. Overall it is an amazing campground.

a protection stress army keep referred to as Banana's in Wareham MA . . . Take 195 East (%. this up in windfall) and it will intersect with path 25 (on a thank you to Cape Cod). Take first go out on 25 (path 6) . . . Banana's is on the final approximately 3 miles down. with the help of ways...assume Kayaking in Falmouth (8 miles South of the Bourne Bridge) type of 10 miles from Banana's.
