Why doesn't everybody in Boston move down to South Florida and never look back?

Delray Beach, FL
73 degrees and beach and delicatessens and Italian restaurants that serve complimentary free minestrone soup and house salad both?????
Sunshine
Nice palm trees and shopping centers and malls and luxury-seating movie theatres that serve food to your seat in a movie theatre they now have in Florida

Massachusetts
28 degrees; rain rain rain rain rain and nor'easter
Nothing to do, no delicatessens, fewer restaurants, nobody ever heard of gelato or stadium or luxury movie theatres
Just brown mud
And very high property taxes that nobody can afford to pay

What a difference! Geeeeeez

Well, then, all the more for you.

We actually have plenty of fabulous places to eat, or have you actually never been here? I can pay for my own meal, thank you.

There are those of us who actually love most of the weather- and in fact, the very kind of weather you think is so much better is hat I hate. Give me something that is below 55 and I'm happy. Drizzle cleans the air and the snow, in moderation, is beautiful.

I once went on a business trip to Miami in the winter, and hated every minute of it. I was shipped down there as a kid in the summer, and had nightmares for years about the spiders the size of an adult's hand. That was before the snakes had been let go, but there will still alligators nearby.

The best time to be at the beach is in the fall, when only the hardy are there. I'll take New England any day of the year. Any.

Oh, and isn't Homestead in South Florida? Yeah.

Boston is a perfect blend of colonial record and cutting-edge innovation. From the wonderful cobblestones of Beacon Hill and innovative landmarks of the Freedom Trail, to the renowned grounds of Harvard University and Fenway Park, Boston is really a treasure chest of Americana and with hotelbye you could have the opportunity to know this treasure. Boston is famous it while the "hold of liberty" and Faneuil Hall is among the places must-see just as the adjacent Faneuil Hall Marketplace, a location which includes three long halls: Quincy Market, North Industry, and South Market. , Faneuil Hall Marketplace is dating from the first 19th century and has become entertained with a lively assortment of shops, restaurants, and exhibitions. In great climate, you will discover street performers and buskers gaining reveals in the square round the market.

Your right, winter sucks in Mass, I was born and raised there. But at the same time, nothing beats the home-town feel of a New England community and there is lots of charm. In any case, I moved to San Diego, yay, so keep your reptiles and mosquito in Florida :)

You fail to mention the hot humid days of summer, hurricanes, the giant cockroaches, fire ants and all sorts of giant flying creatures. Let's not forget the crocodiles and rampant wild pythons that are taking over. While I would never ever want to live in Boston or Massachusetts for that matter, I wouldn't want to live in Florida either. The only thing Florida has going for it are beaches. Take away the beaches and no one in their right mind would live in Florida.

We don't all think that hot and humid is nice weather. Been to Florida, never going again.

Boston has more culture. Florida has more types of poisonous snakes.

Boston has colleges. Florida has strip malls, all of which seem to have a tattoo parlor and check cashing store.

The ideal scenario is S. Florida in the winter, New England in the spring/summer/fall. If I could, that is what I would do.

People who live there are used to the weather and don't bytch about it as much as the people down south.

Why don't you ask that question for all of those that live in the northern US?

Plus if you live down there just shut up and go about your life.
